Built for demanding working days, the DEWALT Akron is a lightweight safety boot featuring a durable nubuck leather upper, breathable Aerospacer lining and protective steel toe cap. Its PU/rubber injection-moulded Ergo Fit outsole follows the natural shape of the foot, while the ProComfort footbed provides cushioned, all-day support. Rated SB FO HRO SR, it offers heat-resistant and high-grip performance, with a premium YKK side zip and securing Velcro flap for quick, convenient access without adjusting the laces.
Please note: the Akron is not waterproof and does not include midsole penetration protection.

Shipping & Returns
We currently deliver to the UK mainland, Northern Ireland, Scottish Islands, and Isle of Man. All orders are despatched on a standard tracked carrier service and should be delivered to your door in 1-2 working days of placing your order. Please note that orders placed between 2pm Friday and 8am Monday will not be processed until Monday morning. Our warehouses are closed on Bank Holidays and will not process orders until the following business day. Standard shipping is £5.00 for orders under £40. For all orders £40 and over delivery is included.
If you would like to return your UNWORN product within 30 days of purchase, please use the Returns portal. Please enter your email used when placing the order as well as the order reference number. This can be found on your order confirmation or order dispatch emails and will begin with "SHP".
Please select the relevant reason for returning the item(s), or select other and type the reason in the available box underneath. Then select the size of package you will be returning in order to be provided with the correct returns label for your items. This will then generate a prepaid return shipping label via Royal Mail. Please return the item using this label, if you wish to see the available return options/locations nearest to you please visit https://www.royalmail.com/track-my-return and enter the return postage ID shown on the label.
If your goods are defective when you receive them we will provide a shipping label for return postage, and either exchange for a replacement or a refund will be given.
We endeavour to complete this within 10 working days of receiving the item.
Non-faulty products & packaging must be suitable for resale and free from damage, writing, tape, labels etc. Failure to return items and packaging in a resalable condition will affect your refund. To prevent this from occurring please over pack your item to ensure that the packaging is protected

An SB rating means it has a protective toe cap only. If you require work boots that protect against underfoot puncture hazards please use our Safety Ratings page to understand which spec you require, and use our product filters to find the styles that match this required safety standard.

Awesome durable boots, zip on the sides make them so easy to get on and off. Sizing was perfect for me, I wear size 10 on trainers, shoes you name it and these in 10 we're perfect.

The boot is comfortable and side zip is really convenient, coated with silicone "tex" spray to keep them cleaner for longer!

The first pair lasted over 2 years before they split across the ball of the foot. I wore them everyday. I went away from these, Thinking that I could duplcate the quality and comfort. I could not. I tried a similar style boot from a very popular brand thinking that the higher price would equate to a better boot. They were not. So I'm back. For these I don't need additional 3rd party insoles. They feel more like my trainers than work boots. would recommend to all.

This is my second pair of these boots, first pair I bought was in November 2023! That’s how long they have lasted. very comfy from new no breaking in needed, will definitely buy again in another 2 years time !!

My old pair of Dewalt boots are still going after 18 years, but I fancied a new pair so opted for these. I'm not a tradesmen but love DIY and after wearing them for a week while doing my own driveway, they're just as comfortable as a pair of trainers. The side zip is great for when you're going in/out of your house too!
